How to connect Gsuite/Gmail sending account?

This article will give you step by step instructions on configuring your SMTP account for Gsuite/Gmail.

  1. Ensure that you are logged into your account, then select the "Settings" tab.

2. Click on the "Sending Accounts" tab.



2. Enter your sending account SMTP email details and select the "Verify and Save" button.



HERE ARE THE SMTP & IMAP DETAILS:
SMTP: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
Username: Your full email address
Password: Enter your password to that email address or Google Application Password

IMAP: imap.gmail.com
Port: 993
Username: Your full email address
Password: Enter your password to that email address or Google Application Password

If you received this error: "SMTP Error: Could not authenticate" then you can follow the troubleshooting steps below:

  1. If you are using Gmail, and having issues connecting your SMPT details, then use a Gmail App password. Here are the steps to generate your app password: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en
  2. Sometimes you will also have to allow ClickReach from your Gmail Account. Here are the steps to accomplish this: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en#zippy=%2Cif-less-secure-app-access-is-on-for-your-account

When you are done, then try verifying and connecting the sending account again with the Gmail App password.
